Up to 150,000 miles
Business owners who travel frequently and can use the annual travel credit to offset the fee.
The Capital One Venture X Business card is the business version of the personal Venture X, and it delivers the same exceptional value math. The $395 annual fee is offset by the $300 annual travel credit — automatically credited when you book through Capital One Business Travel — plus 10,000 bonus miles each anniversary worth at least $100. That brings the effective annual cost to roughly $0 before you even count a single mile earned, and you also get Priority Pass lounge access at over 1,300 airports, a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit up to $120, and the full suite of Capital One's 22 transfer partners.
You should get this card if you own or operate a business with meaningful travel spend and want to keep business miles separate from personal rewards. The 150,000-mile welcome bonus after $30,000 in the first three months is a standout offer — worth at least $1,500 in travel and potentially $2,250 to $3,000 if you route the miles through premium partners like Air Canada Aeroplan for Star Alliance business class. The earning structure rewards travel heavily: 10x miles on hotels and rental cars via the Capital One Business Travel portal, 5x on flights, and a flat 2x on all other business purchases. For a business that spends heavily on travel and wants to convert that into premium cabin flights, this card is hard to beat at its price point.
You should skip this card if your business spends less than $10,000 per month. The $30,000 threshold to earn the welcome bonus requires that kind of volume, and the Spark Cash Plus or Spark Cash Select may be better fits for lighter spenders. You should also skip it if you are not disciplined about paying the full balance monthly — like the Spark Cash Plus, this is a charge card, not a revolving credit card, and a 2.99% late fee on a large outstanding balance will quickly destroy your miles' value.
The closest alternative is the American Express Business Platinum at $695 annually, which offers a more elaborate suite of credits and higher earning rates on travel but at nearly double the fee and with a famously complex structure. For business owners who want premium travel benefits without the Amex complexity, the Venture X Business is the cleaner option. The personal Venture X is a natural complement — the two cards' bonus eligibility rules are completely independent of each other, so you can hold both without one blocking the other.
Note that lounge guest policies tightened in February 2026: bringing guests into Priority Pass lounges now costs $45 per adult per visit unless you hit $75,000 in annual spend on the card. For a business owner traveling solo, this is a non-issue. If you frequently bring employees or clients to airport lounges, budget for that cost or aim for the $75,000 spend threshold to unlock complimentary guests.
This is a business charge card — balance must be paid in full every month or a 2.99% late fee applies on the outstanding balance. No preset spending limit. The business Venture X welcome bonus rules are separate from the personal Venture family 48-month rule — holding or having received a personal Venture bonus does not affect eligibility for this card's bonus, and vice versa. The $300 annual travel credit applies to bookings through Capital One Business Travel portal only.
